Kruu Tuayang

I teach the Thai people actually use — at the market, with your landlord, at the clinic. Not the textbook sentences you will never say out loud. Most students can read a menu within two months and hold a short conversation by month four. We start with the tones, because everything else falls apart without them. Lessons are one-to-one, in person in Chiang Mai or online. I am used to beginners who cannot hear the difference between rising and falling yet — that part takes everyone a while.

What an hour looks like

Ten minutes of tones first — you cannot say what you cannot hear. Then one real situation: ordering, bargaining, the clinic. We repeat it until it stops being scary. Five minutes of reading at the end. Slow, but it adds up to a menu in two months.
